Paulo Fonseca is planning, with his staff, for the new adventure at AC Milan. He will be joined by his assistant Paulo Ferreira, a former defender who played for Estoril Praia, Vitoria Setubal, Porto, and Chelsea, and has been working with the new Rossoneri coach since last season. Other staff members include Tiago Leal, who provides crucial support on tactical aspects, and Paulo Mourao, a fitness coach who has previously worked with Vitoria Guimaraes, Benfica, Al Nassr, and Spartak Moscow.
There will be a new addition to Fonseca's staff for his new adventure at Milan, though. According to A Bola, the Portuguese coach will bring Nélson Diogo Duarte, a match analyst who has worked in Portugal at Estoril alongside Vasco Seabra in recent seasons.
The new Rossoneri coach wanted him strongly and will entrust him with the analysis of the performances of the Milan players. Duarte is little known but has had a rather significant career despite being only 32 years old: from 2018 to 2020, for example, he was part of Sergio Conceição's staff at Porto (the Portuguese coach was also long linked with the Milan bench in recent months), and in the following seasons, he worked at Boavista, Marítimo, and finally Estoril, as pointed out by Milan News.
