AC Milan's midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, has granted an interview to the club's official channel. He first spoke about the Portuguese head coach, Paulo Fonseca:
“We’re very excited. We’ve been working on the field with the new coach, and the training sessions are intense. They’re tough, and that’s good because the coach expects a lot from us and keeps us focused. He tries to convey his ideas well, encouraging us to ask questions so that we can understand and absorb all his concepts as quickly as possible."

Loftus-Cheek continued to talk about Fonseca:
"Our first impressions of the coach are good; he seems like a very humble and approachable person, which is always pleasant. It’s positive that everyone is ready to participate. I think everyone is excited for the new season. I believe the most important thing in pre-season is to work hard and try to implement as much as possible of what the coach wants both on and off the field, while keeping ourselves in the best shape possible to be ready for the new season.”
Reuniting with Morata at Milan after being teammates at Chelsea, Loftus-Cheek:
“Morata is a high-level player and, of course, has won many things in his career, so having a teammate of that caliber and with that experience in the team can only help us. I’m excited to see him again and to share the field with him once more. He’s a very kind and approachable person who works hard during training, and you shouldn’t be surprised by the trophies he has won because that’s the right formula when you’re a professional and take your work seriously with a desire to win. The achievements he has reached shouldn’t surprise us, and now that he’s the captain of his national team, he may have the leadership role that will bring a lot of communication and guidance to the team, which will be crucial for us. So, that’s what I’m looking forward to the most: playing with him and seeing him take on an important role in the team."
