AC Milan will be looking to improve the quality of the squad if there are great opportunities in the coming mercato in January, it has been confirmed, on different occasions before, by Maldini, Massara, and even Stefano Pioli himself.
Today, Peppe di Stefano, Sky Journalist, reported that the AC Milan managers have in mind specific characteristics for any possible new purchases in the coming january mercato. The profiles that the Rossoneri club is targeting should be like those of Alexis Saelemaekers, Sandro Tonali, and Théo Hernàndez : players who can have their values increase over time and are young, prospective, and talented.
AC Milan will enter the coming mercato with the goal to reinforce 2 spots in the field: central defense, and midfield. There will not be a Backup for Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming, unless a great opportunity appears to sign a young striker.
Sky also reported that the Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic will not transfer away from AC Milan until at least the end of the season.
