AC Milan's starting Turkish playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu has an expiring contract at the end of the season. The club management is working to secure his renewal as he has recently proved to be an important player for the club.
According to Manuele Baiocchini on Sky, Hakan's agent will be in Italy in the next few days. There is an offer from Milan to be evaluated. The parties are very far apart. The Rossoneri management starts the negotiation at €3.5 million. However, the request for the extension is practically double.
It will be seen if the next meeting will be able to make both parties involved get closer to each other. From what is understood, the feelings are not very positive. The demand is actually too high and giving Calhanoglu the big figures he's asking for would mean that many Milan players could come knocking on the door to ask for better wages. The Rossoneri is facing an issue which is to either please its players or to let them leave for free and invest in others, as Manuele Baiocchini concluded.
