AC Milan was linked with signing Belotti in the transfer market window of 2017. But, for the next summer mercato, the Rossoneri management could come back for him.
According to Tuttosport, Milan came knocking on Torino’s door to sign Belotti for a fee of €60 million plus technical compensation. But, the club’s president, Cairo insisted on €100 million for his striker. Therefore the deal did not succeed.
For the next summer, the club could try again for Belotti, however, it depends on Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede champion’s contract will expire on June 30th. If he decides not to renew, then Milan would be forced to look for a new starting center forward and the target could be Belotti.
But, it would be necessary to understand what Torino will ask for. It should not be forgotten that their attacker’s contract is set to expire in 2022. The feeling is that Milan will really try for Belotti and it is not excluded that they may do so even if Ibrahimovic’s renewal arrives in the coming months.
