Hakan Calhanoglu has an expiring contract at the end of the season. The player has recently demonstrated that he is a worthy player and part of coach Stefano Pioli's plans. Therefore, AC Milan is trying to renew the deal of the recent Serie A MVP of the month of December.
According to Tuttosport, Gordon Stipic, Hakan's agent, is expected in Milano to continue the discussions started at the summit before Christmas. The Turk attacking midfielder has expressed his desire to remain at Milan, but wants an adjustment for his yearly salary.
The newspaper writes that the request of the player's entourage is €5 million a year while the offer of the Rossoneri management is at €3.5 million per year. The feeling is that, with an effort from both parties involved, the deal can be closed at €4 million yearly salary plus bonuses.
