AC Milan continues the hunt for reinforcements in the mercato and it seems that the goal is to find a backup for Theo Hernàndez who is currently positive to covid-19.
According to the latest information of Corriere dello Sport, there are confirmations on the contacts with Barcelona for Junior Firpo. Maldini phoned the Barca management to ask for information. Contacts also are ongoing with the player's agents. AC Milan are trying to negotiate on the basis of the loan.
Barcelona must first find a replacement and values Junior Firpo at around €20 million. There are other clubs who are interested in securing the services of the player in Italy like Inter and Napoli.
Besides Junior Firpo, there are other profiles which are followed like Matias Vina of Palmeiras, Nuno Mendes of Sporting Lisbon, and Iago of Augsburg.
