George Weah, former Milan legendary attacker and current president of Libera, gave an interview to Gazzetta dello Sport, and this is what he said about AC Milan:
"For several months the club started a precise, brilliant, and concrete project. They had to find each other and they are doing it, because the culture of victory is part of the Rossoneri DNA. That's why I'm not surprised at all. We are talking about Milan , not just any team."
On Maldini's work:
"He made a huge contribution. Paolo is a humble man, a great captain and an excellent friend. I may be biased, but we are talking about a person with an immense heart, and a hard worker. He inspires anyone who stands next to him, he transmits confidence now just like when he used to play. Obviously, he is a great leader of the group who knows what to do."
On the Scudetto:
"I don't know if Milan will be able to win the Scudetto, because Juventus, Inter and Napoli are great rivals and because there are still 20 games to go and in football things change quickly. But I have no doubt that Milan can fight to the end."
On Ibrahimovic:
"Ibrahimovic is a strong and self-confident guy, these are qualities that catch the eye immediately. But behind this image there is much more: he is one who is committed to the maximum and is always one hundred percent focused on his profession. I am happy that Milan have signed him because he can be very useful to the club in working with the young players because the boys, both in the first team and in the Primavera team, have a great example and a source of inspiration in him, they can admire Ibrahimovic and see him as a leader."
"Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the best example of what a leader should be doing, I am happy for him. Age does not matter. Two names come to mind, those of Pietro Vierchowood and Franco Baresi, two who have played at a very high level until almost forty years old, and then of Course Paolo Maldini. If you work hard, keep the passion intact and continue to have fun playing, age disappears."
