Dante Vanzeir, a Belgian football player, has set a new record in his home country, by scoring the fastest goal in the history of professional football in Belgium, after only 6.9 seconds, according to the staff of his club Union Saint Gilloise.
In fact, this goal has a whole story behind it, as it was inspired by AC Milan's Portuguese forward Rafael Leao, as stated by Sandro Salamone, club's video analyst to Belgian newspaper Le Soir: “On December 20, I saw Leao scoring the fastest goal in Serie A history against Sassuolo, in 6.2 seconds. I spent my time cutting this phase out and offered it to Felice, who was enthusiastic. After having worked on it all over the week, we decided to apply it at Deinze. I can tell you that we are preparing other innovations!"
