After the historical win against Florentia at the Santa Lucia Stadium, it’s time for the AC Milan Women’s team switch focus to the other national competition of this season, which they long to conquer as well.

The rossonere reached the knockout stage of the Coppa Italia after beating Cesena, a two-nil with Spinelli and Gianciti on the scoresheet, and Orobica, a four-nil win with Giacinti scoring a brace, an owngoal by Lugli and a goal from the left fullback Tucceri Cimini. Milan was drawn against Sassuolo in the quarterfinals and, if they get past the neroverde, the semifinal’s opponent comes from whoever wins between Internazionale and Fiorentina. On the half of the draw, Juventus will take on Empoli and the winner faces one between Florentia and AS Roma.

The two-legged ties will be played on January 30/31 and February 13/14 and it’s likely that the first leg between Milan and Sassuolo will take place on Sunday, 31 at 2:30 pm CET while the second leg on take place on Saturday 13 at 2:30pm CET as well.
