In a chat on social networks with Mimo El Águila, Miguel Herrera, former coach of Club America, recalled an anecdote with scouts from AC Milan, regarding his ex-player Roger Martinez.
"Milan scouts came to follow two young players from [Club] América. Santiago Baños (club president) and I spoke with them, and they asked us 'do you know who is the best Colombian player in the world right now?' [We said] Falcao, James Rodríguez, and they answered 'no, that's the one there', we turned around and it was Roger."commented Herrera.
After the praise, the president made a proposal: "Baños responded: 'I'll sell him to you,' and they said 'no, because he is not yet the player that we all think he can be, because his representative doesn't help him a lot.' That was what the South American scouts who work for Milan told us." concluded the coach.
