The 24 years old Japanese international midfielder Yui Hasegawa, born in Miyagi, arrives from Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Bellaser where she was promoted from the youth team to the professional in 2013, having 114 appearances and 11 goals scored. With her in the club, domestically, they conquered the Nadeshiko League, Japan's Women's team top flight, for 5 years in a row (from 2015 to 2019), the Empress's Cup also five times (2014 and 2017 to 2020) and, also, the Nadeshiko League Cup in 2016 and 2018. Internationally, they won the 2019 edition of the AFC Women's Club championship together.
Yui Hasegawa played for the U-17 Japan national team and won the 2014 U17 Women’s World Cup and was runners-up in the 2017 edition of the tournament, U-20 national team, third place in the 2016 U-20 World Cup, and made it to the senior Japan National team in 2017, was part of the group which won the 2018 Asian Cup an reached the round of 16 in the 2019 Women’s World cup, when she scored a goal against Netherlands, but they got knocked out by 2-1 anyway.
In the field, she plays as a center or a left wide midfielder and according to Lucia Pirola, from Radio Rossonera, she is not a top clinical finisher, but an offensive player and someone who can help the team to build-up the game.
Lastly, she chose to wear the number 4.
