The Portuguese defender has spent the first half of this season with the Serie A giants who are top of the table and in the hunt for the title.
The 21-year-old has been a part of that success, making 16 appearances for the club so far across the league, Coppa Italia and in Europa League.
According to SunSport, Milan have now made early contact with Manchester United to see if a move can be brokered for the summer. Dalot is happy in Italy, and it is believed he would be open to extending his stay with the club whether on loan or permanently.
However, Milan, like most teams across Europe, are struggling to splash huge sums on players due to the coronavirus pandemic hitting finances. The Rossoneri would be willing to pay around £15 million plus bonuses for him. He is on around £40,000-a-week, well within the wage structure Milan can afford with other earners on a lot more than him.
But the Red Devils are yet to make up their mind on his future, and have been keeping a close eye on his progress in Serie A.
