Simon Kjaer was out due to injury picked up during the derby game against Inter in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals last week. Stefano Pioli luckily, had the chance to replace him with the newly signed-on-loan centre-back, who came from Chelsea, Fikayo Tomori.
The player showed good qualities against Inter, despite the loss. He also started the game against Bologna yesterday to replace Simon Kjaer.
Gazzetta dello Sport dedicated a section of a page to talk about Fikayo Tomori and how he immediately integrated well into Stefano Pioli's formation. He helped the team recover the ball and kept the defense strong at occasions. "The defender started the match with personality: solid, physical, and clean. The young Englishman sent coach Pioli a message of great reliability."
