There has been a mystery surrounding AC Milan Women’s team forward Miriam Longo since her last call by Maurizio Ganz but today, finally, we have some updates from Milan’s social media on her and, unfortunately, they are not great.
According to the club, our number 23 underwent an arthroscopic surgery to stabilize her right shoulder and will begin rehabilitation in the next few days.
Miriam Longo, who scored the first goal of the season for the rossonere, the winner in matchday 1 against Florentia, was replace immediately after scoring due to a peculiar and heavy high-five from danish midfielder Caroline Rask while celebrating her goal. Ever since, Longo has been called up 3 times and has not played more than 48 minutes in Serie A so far.
We all wish for a speedy recovery for her!
