Miroslav Klose, now assistant coach at Bayern Munich, as reported by La Gazzetta dello sport, has decided to do a coaching internship at Milan with Pioli whom he knows very well. This path is necessary to acquire points in order to carry out the activity in the major leagues for the German. Here are his words:
"I need a period of internship abroad to finish my studies. So I thought I'd ask Pioli. I should have already
completed my internship in Milan, but due to the pandemic it was not possible. We will recover soon, as soon as we can."
On his relationship with coach Pioli:
"My relationship with Pioli is excellent. Soon I will take the license to train even in the top leagues. But I'm in no hurry. I am finishing a journey that has lasted for five years during which I have already had the good fortune to gain important experiences, such as the one with Loewe in the national team and the one in the Bayern youth sector."
" I want to take one step after another, like I did when I was a player. I really like being Flick's deputy at Bayern, let's see how long it will last. Here I can learn a lot, I think about how I would move if I were the coach. For the future I am open to everything. The next step is to gain experience and take the lead of a team. Experience is important, you also learn from mistakes"
On AC Milan being coached by Pioli:
"I don't know if there was actually something between Milan and Rangnick. I can say that Pioli is very good: he is honest, he is human, he is complete. Improve the players. It just needs time. He has to know the players and they have to know him. If Milan give Pioli the chance to work for a long time, then it will be a winner. The team can also win the Scudetto."
On his philosophy:
"As a player, I had an offensive nature. I liked high pressure. My playing philosophy now goes in that direction. I want to have the ball often and I want to have it for a long time. This way you can be dominant. I can evaluate and decide when to speed up the game and when to slow it down. With ball possession I can also develop a certain dynamism. In reality, dynamism can develop even when the opponents have the ball. The faster I manage to organize myself, the faster I attack opponents, the sooner I can get the ball back. My philosophy can be summed up in a few words: dominate the game and be dynamic."
