Gianluigi Donnarumma has an expiring contract at the end of the season and AC Milan management are working to secure the future services of the young goalkeeper for further seasons to come. But it seems that negotiations are going slowly.
In fact, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport today, no progress has been made in recent weeks. The talks with agent Mino Raiola have not brought substantial progress. Milan have put on a rich five-year deal worth 7.5 million euros net per season, but the well-known agent would like to extend the contract for a year, or at most two.
The offer of 7.5 million euros gross did not convince Raiola. Milan will try to win at least one contract until 2023, but it will not be easy regarding the renewals, concluded the newspaper.
Ivan Gazidis, in his interview last night with Sky Sport (you can find it here) said that the club is doing everything possible in their power to reach an agreement for the renewals, but at the end it all depends on the players' choices to close the deals.
