Serie A Matchday 22, as the top four race continues, teams hope to solidify their places and even contend for the Scudetto at the end of the season. The Rossoneri are coming off a 4-0 victory at home defeating Crotone. Milan will head to Spezia on Saturday to take on the eagles who achieved promotion from Serie B via playoffs. Currently sitting 16th in the table with 21 points only 6 points away from the relegation zone. While Milan continues their reign at the top of the table with 49 points.
As Milan looks to continue on their winning streak, grabbing 3 points against Spezia would put them in a great spot heading into Matchday 23 where they will take on rivals Inter Milan who trail behind the Rossoneri by 2 points in the league. A must-win game for Milan as many of the Rossoneri's top players have recovered from injuries and Milan will soon have their strongest starting 11 once again since November when they played against Napoli. Here is how Stefano Pioli's Milan lineup could appear:
Milan: 4-2-3-1: G. Donnarumma; Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, T. Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessié; Saelemakers, Çalhanoğlu, Leão; Ibrahimović
Simon Kjaer, one of Milan's best defenders, returns after recovering from injury. He will be back in action with his partner in crime and captain Alessio Romagnoli who together are a powerhouse in defense. The two will be looking to cut off any threats from Spezia and help Donnarumma to keep another clean sheet.
Bennacer and Kessié will be another duo to watch in this game with their spectacular chemistry in the double pivot for Milan. Playmaker Hakan Çalhanoğlu will once again be determined to help his team to victory either assisting or scoring for the red and black faithful.
Leão and Ibrahimović will both be looking to grab goals coming off impressive performances in the last couple of matches. Pioli will want the best out of his players to get another successful victory to head into the Derby Della Maddonina with high momentum and elevated spirits.
