The Assembly of Lega Serie A, called for today, did not take place in the absence of the quorum required by the Statute.
The Chairman Paolo Dal Pino, having noted the non-presence in connection with 9 companies, declared the Shareholders' Meeting deserted.
Upon leaving the FIGC headquarters, where he had gone for a meeting with President Gravina, he commented the following:
“Sorry to find a difference of views between the clubs in such an important moment. Especially after we managed to collaborate successfully for months, creating the conditions for the auction of domestic television rights to reach an excellent result. The offers obtained are certainly the result of the last few months spent working together in the same direction, arousing interest in our tournament and making it appear attractive. With this announcement we have shown that Serie A has great value, and the proof is that the league continues to attract important foreign investors. I take this opportunity to welcome the new owner of La Spezia, mr. Platek, to whom I have already personally told how happy I am that he has chosen this destination, among the major European championships. I am sure that the divisions that have created this situation will soon be overcome. We have four years ahead to relaunch Serie A together and bring it back to a leadership position in Europe, as our football deserves."
