Interviewed by satelite broadcaster Sky Sport, Gigio Donnarumma released these statements:
On AC Milan's moment so far in the season:
"After the match against Juventus which came after the lockdown, we knew that we could do so much better and make a change. Everything started from there. With our coach Pioli, we work hard and well. W focus on the defensive phase this year, now we have to continue working because we have not done anything yet, there is still a long way to go and we hope to continue having fun."
On his form:
"If it's my best form so far? After the Super Cup against Juve, yes. That was an incredible moment, the first trophy with Milan, unforgettable. But this is one of my best moments, too."
On the current Milan team:
"We are certainly more united as a team. I don't know if Milan is the strongest but now we are a team, we have fun and we are a great group. I think this is the crucial factor to aim high."
On the Champions League hopes:
"It is a dream to play in that competition. Milan being there means going back to where the club deserves to be."
On Ibrahimovic:
"He's a champion. He never surrenders. For training, he's always the first to arrive and last to leave. He helps us so much. He's an example."
On his growth:
"Sometimes my attitudes on the pitch were not correct, but it's part of the experience, I was still a kid. Now I'm much more mature, I improve game after game. The more you go forward, the more you mature and I think 'I'm on the right path'."
On his contract renewal with AC Milan:
"I experience this particular phase peacefully. I am calm, just like how I lived all these years at Milan. I always try to do my best and try to give everything for this shirt."
