A summit between Milan management and the agent of Hakan Calhanoglu took place this afternoon at Casa Milan.
The management, with Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini, have seen agent Gordon Stipic for the third time in recent weeks to discuss the possible new contract of the Turkish midfielder due to expire in the summer to come.
Milan's offer is a salary around 4 million euros while the entourage's demand is higher. Today's meeting was not decisive but the counter-proposal made by the agent on behalf of Calhanoglu is clear: now it will be up to Milan to decide whether to meet the demands of the number 10 or whether to let him go.
The feeling is that, for an investment that could be important for the next seasons, for a new contract until 2025, the management will bring the matter to the table of the men in charge of the accounts.
Once the eventual green light has been given, then the proposal made to Calhanoglu could be increased by coming close to the player's requests.
There is no new summit set, Stipic will soon leave Milano and await a call from Milan in Germany.
While there is interest from England and other places, the player's will is always one: to give priority to the renewal with AC Milan, with the hope that the club's proposal will increase shortly.
