Once again the Rossoneri head into another Serie A fixture, their opponents for matchday 24 will be Friulians of Udinese. Heading into this fixture, Milan comes off a thrilling victory against the Giallorossi of Roma defeating them 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico. Milan has seemed to shake off the rather unconvincing performances against Spezia, Inter, and Red Star Belgrade seeming to look back to their old winning confident ways that we have seen since the start of the season.
This will not be an easy fixture for the red and black faithful. Once again injuries have struck the team with Hakan Çalhanoğlu (thigh), Davide Calabria (fatigue), Fikayo Tomori (fatigue), Zlatan Ibrahimović (adductor strain). Milan has managed to defeat Udinese in the last two meetings between the two sides but surprisingly Milan has not managed to beat them three consecutive times since 2008. Udinese comes into this fixture with a massive win against Fiorentina and currently sits in 12th place in the table with 28 points comfortably 10 points above the relegation zone. Here is how Pioli's team could appear:
Milan 4-2-3-1: G. Donnaurmma; Kalulu, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessié; Saelemakers, Diaz, Rebić, Leão
Though this may be a difficult task at hand the Rossoneri will be looking to give it their all to achieve victory at the San Siro. Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli make their way back to the starting lineup to hold down Milan's backline both defenders must be alert to any danger created by Udinese on the counter-attack. Rafael Leão and Brahim Diaz will be looking to make the most of this opportunity to help bolster the Rossoneri's attack. Ante Rebić will want to continue his good performance against Roma in which he grabbed a goal. Sandro Toanli and Franck Kessié are starting to look more and more comfortable together in the double pivot. And Kalulu will be looking to continue his impressive run of opportunities in the red and black jersey. Pioli must get his tactics right for the game with the squad he has.
