The AC Milan skipper Valentina Giacinti spoke to the Milan TV microphones today and had her says about the clash against Juventus, the team's formation, the Azzurre and teammates Veró and Hasegawa:
On the last game:
“Surely the Pink Bari game was a stimulus to face Juventus and we do not want to lose concentration during the game and indeed, with this victory, we have become aware of that.”
On the face-off against Juve:
“It will be a tough match against Juventus and I expect a team ready to fight on all the balls and and, maybe, achieve a positive result for us and for the whole club. The desire to win is great, but you have to work and, above all, to do well and to make a great game to make sure of that. It is no coincidence that we are in second place.”
On the 3-5-2 formation:
“I feel good with 3-5-2 I think it's one of the nicest formations i can play, so, I'm happy to play with the 3-5-2”
On Veró:
“Veró is a great professional and a great person. She is a girl who is good to have on our team and she does play very well, has brought us a lot of professionalism and and is teaching us so much.”
On Yui Hasegawa:
“Yui have just arrived and I noticed that she is so small! But when I saw her on the pitch for me it was impressive, she's a very strong girl with so much will and, above all, a very fine technique.”
On her performances so far:
“I'm satisfied but I think I could have done even more. I think the first few games maybe I lost a little bit, I couldn't score a few more goals for the team but the important thing was to take home the points and so I'm basically happy.”
On the hopes of winning silverware with Milan:
“There is a lot of desire because it would be a dream to take home a trophy with this jersey.”
On her feelings toward AC Milan and the rossoneri jersey:
“I feel bound the Milan from the day I put it on. I feel like I'm milanista inside and when i'm wearing the rossoneri jersey it's really a special feeling.”
On the Serie A:
“I believe that every game is fundamental, starting from that of Juventus, but every game is to be fought and to take home the three points because on this league, as it is proving, you lose just one game and you are out of the competition.”
On the National team:
“when you go to the national team the quality is high and the training are hard, tough. I think that the international competitions are step up for everyone, and so I'm very happy to be part of it and of what I did there.”
