According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli will not even make the bench for the United-Milan match at Old Trafford.
The formations of the first leg knockout round of the match between Manchester United and Milan have been made official a few minutes ago with the Rossoneri captain not included in the matchday squad due to a muscle injury. Before Milan's departure for Manchester, Romagnoli was a major doubt but the medical staff gave the go-ahead for Pioli to call the defender in view of this away match.
Evidently, Romagnoli is not fit enough even for the bench and will not be risked with Pioli deciding to leave the captain on the stands at Old Trafford, hoping to recover him for Sunday's clash against Napoli.
