According to Mexican media source TUDN and TeleDiario, former Milan target Florian Thauvin has agreed to a five-year deal with the Monterrey Tigres of Liga MX. The move came as a surprise to those following the situation, as the winger is only 28 years old and not quite in the twilight era of his career. It is reported that the Frenchman had high salary demands, and not many of the European suitors were able to reach his demands. Tigres' demand was the most financially interesting for Thauvin.
Florian has been linked to a move throughout most of the season, but some were hopeful that new manager Jorge Sampaoli would convince Thauvin to renew. Sampaoli has improved the attitude of the team, and their form has significantly improved too with just one loss under his lead. Thauvin did ultimately make his move out of the club and will be headed to Mexico.
