The Super League has quickly gained a lot of attention since it was annoucned with twelve founding clubs, including AC Milan. However, the plan fell quickly as many clubs, starting with the English ones, withdrawed.
The Rossoneri are also understood that they gave up on the Super League project. As highlighted in this morning's edition by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Elliott Management still do believe in the need for a different model but they can't pass the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League.
That is why they chose to reluctantly abandon the Super League.
