AC Milan is looking, as always, for clever moves in the mercato in order to not spend crazy amounts of money. One of the names that has been linked with a move to Milanello is Southampton star Ryan Bertrand as reported recently.
The full-back, 31 years old, will become a free agent at the end of June after failing to reach an extension agreement with the club.
Southampton have actually confirmed that Arsenal and AC Milan target Ryan Bertrand will be leaving as a free agent once the season ends.
The Saints announced the experienced player's exit by thanking him for his services and contribution.
"Southampton Football Club can today confirm that Ryan Bertrand will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season."
Bertrand initially joined Saints on loan from Chelsea in 2014, before making his move permanent at the start of 2015. He has gone on to make 240 appearances for the club, scoring eight times, and was a key part of the team during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, as reported by Southampton's website press release.
