The AC Milan Women played an even match against Hellas Verona, resting their star players, regarding the Roma showdown next weekend, with a lot of new faces in the starting lineup. The rossonere staged a comeback to draw level twice with Dowie and Tamborini responding to Jelencic and Susanna.
Here are the player ratings:
Starting XI:
Babb (6) – Was a privileged spectator during most of the time as Hellas Verona never really posed as threat. Can’t be blamed for Jelencic’s amazing goal.
Vitale (6,5) – Rock-solid performance today for Vitale until Susanna’s goal.
Agard (6,5) – A step back regarding her last games, but a good outing.
Spinelli (6) – A little insecure sometimes, especially with her feet.
Bergamaschi (6,5) – Wore the captain’s armband for the first time and delivered a secure performance on the left wing.
Mauri (6) – Delivery heart and soul every game, pressing high up on the pitch. Lacks finesse on the pass and shots.
Vero (7,5) – Even deployed as a defensive midfielder, replacing Jane, the Spaniard is the regent of this team.
Hasegawa (7) – Our favorite Japanese once again delivered an stand-out performance, though she clearly benefits when Vero plays in a mora advanced role.
Rizza (6) – A good outing after all, even when she is not exactly cut out for the wing-back position.
Dowie (7) – A pure striker, took advantage in the only opportunity she had and find the net, her 12th league goal.
Salvatori Rinaldi (6,5) – Fought hard for every ball and created a few opportunities but failed to score this time.
Substitutes
Piazza (6) – Much like Babb, didn’t have much to do. However, she could have done better to avoid Hellas’ second goal.
Tamborini (7) – Made herself known by leveling the game and settling it. A promising prospect
Longo, Simic and Coda (S/N) – Made into the pitch after a long time.
Coach
Ganz (6,5) – Seized a good opportunity to rest his star players and give some minutes some others.
