The first signing of AC Milan is Lille's shot stopper Mike Maignan. He is a 25 year-old French goalkeeper who just won the Ligue 1 trophy a couple of days ago. He will replace Gianluigi Donnarumma whose departure from the club will be a free transfer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport explains why Milan's new signing is a very good choice to replace Donnarumma as they point out that he has 21 clean sheets this season which is the best in Europe. He has saved 10 out of 34 penalties in his career so far.
Maignan has been called up by the coach of France national team, Didier Deschamps, for the Euro Cup which starts in June 11.
This proves that AC Milan did a careful study and wise choice before deciding to sign Maignan. He has experience and is reliable with a very good quality.
