Mattia Caldara, player of AC Milan who spent a season-long loan at Atalanta, is set to return to the San Siro after not having convinced Gian Piero Gasperini at Bergamo.
The Italian centre-back, 27 years old, has a contract that is valid until 2023. The Nerazzurri are apparently not willing to exercise the buy-option to sign him permanently. He only played 9 games this season.
Today's edition of Tuttosport takes stock of the player's situation and highlight that his fate could change and actually remain at Milan instead of leaving somewhere else, unless important offers were to arrivef or him in the summer mercato.
