AC Milan's former defender and current collaborator of Stefano Pioli, Daniele Bonera, has granted an exclusive interview to the microphones of GazzaTalk. Here are his words:
On Pioli's best feature:
"Pioli has many qualities like his way of managing the locker room and the training sessions. He can be very hard when needed unlike what people may think it seems. Working with him this year was very special."
On the player that surprised him the most:
"I'd say that would be Franck Kessié. He had such a crazy growth in all aspects. He also showed that he is a real leader. Simon Kjaer was also important for the locker room. I believe that we have done something great as a team."
On the Champions League:
"Even if we will be starting from the fourth pot, many teams will not want to be in our group. Champions League competition has always been Milan's yard. We hope it can be the beginning of a great future."
On Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
"Compared to the time when we were teammates, he changed. He became more reflective. He likes to talk to the young players and has more dialogues with the coach. From outside, he may seem arrogant, but he is very sensitive and attentive to his personal affairs and companions."
On his future as a coach:
"To coach AC Milan is everyone's dream. There is a waiting list. But, Milan is now in good hands with coach Pioli. We will try to do a great job."
