Interesting news come from UEFA secretary Theodore Theodoridis who spoke to the microphones of Marca about the Super League project. He had this to say:
"We defend values such as respect, sporting merit and equality of treatment. If they have broken the rules, they must face the consequences that the independent bodies will decide. Juve, Real and Barça out of the Champions League? It is possible . If they don't respect the rules, they can be excluded. It depends on them, it should be emphasized that all the other clubs have accepted the present rules."
On the judgement of the court of Madrid:
"UEFA fully respects the rule of law, but we have not received any formal notification about it. We have a legal team for our decisions, respecting the laws. Look, the last years have shown that UEFA has been a very positive example of a transparent and democratic organization. Sometimes we have won, others we have lost, but we respect the result."
On the Super League project:
"If it's still made up of all 12 clubs? It is impossible for me to comment on a private contract in which UEFA does not intervene. But I understand that the 9 clubs that have admitted the mistake have begun the procedures to liquidate the project."
