A new name was linked with a move to the Rossoneri yesterday, according to Goal.com which is that of Valentino Livramento. The player is highly esteemed by the Blues and the fans and it seems that the scouting department of the Rossoneri are admirers of the youngster's skill, too.
Tino Livramento, standing at 173 cm tall, is an English 18 year-old right-wingback who could play as an offensive winger and fullback as well. He won Academy Player of the year.
Tino is an Academy Chelsea player as he has been there since his signing as an Under-9. Right now, he has a contract that expires in 2023.
The teenager represented England at Under-19 level and also played for the country at younger age groups.
He has featured 23 times for Chelsea's under-23s this term and played in all three of the Under-18s FA Youth Cup fixtures.
The season of 2020/21 saw Livramento become regular for the development squad, and while still available for the youth team, by January he had provided 8 assists and 2 goals in 14 appearances from various positions on his favoured right flank of the pitch, as per Chelsea's report card on their official website.
Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard took note of the youngster's qualities among other teammates of his and said the following in an interview:
"They’ve been able to show their qualities and it’s always great to gauge how quickly young players take to the football side of training but also how their personalities react to the uplift in pressure and level in training."
Even the current manager of Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel has trusted Livramento and actually called him up during the season a couple of times to the squadlist. The youngster even took part of Chelsea's first team training ahead of the Champions League tie against Real Madrid.
The right-footed fast wing-back is very agile, likes to move forward often and could be extremely dangerous in counter attacks thanks to his accelerations.
Livramento also has great stamina, can control the ball well and cross it nicely creating important attacking scenarios that can lead to goals. These are all great qualities that made Geoffrey Moncada, chief of scouts at Milan propose his profile to the managers in Casa Milan.
In the video below, you can see for yourself why Chelsea appreciate his talent highly, and why would Milan want to take the player from them.
