AC Milan and Napoli were said to be leading the race for Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi, whose contract with the Eredivisie side still runs until June 2023.
Now, with the Rossoneri focusing on the purchase of Fikayo Tomori, the Azzurri, for their part, have apparently taken few steps forward on this deal, as they look closer to land the Argentine center-back ahead of the next summer transfer window.
According to what was learned by Il Mattino, the 24-year-old can't wait to wear the jersey of Napoli, but the Partenopei will first have to sell one of their backline players, namely, Kalidou Koulibaly, Kostas Manolas Amir Rrahmani and Sebastiano Luperto, before securing the signature of Senesi.
