AC Milan's Chief Executive Officer, Ivan Gazidis, spoke to the microphones of Milan TV about many topics. Here are his statements:
On the season:
"We spent a special season. At Milan, there is a great sense of unity that gives me great pride. This gives the club great strength."
On finally returning to Champions League:
"It's a great feeling. We suffer like the rest of the fans. It was the result of hard work, we deserved to return to the Champions League."
On the group of the club:
"It is special and young with agreat mentality. This team has always given an answer, this means having a great mentality. This group is very strong. We have a strong group, with strong players, only in this way can we be successful. We need quality players, we have a very modern team off the pitch that is doing a fantastic job. Paolo Maldini is a point of reference. The fans can have faith in this team.
On Tomori:
"For a striker, Tomori is a nightmare. Nothing is easy with him, it is not possible to beat him in speed or even by force."
On Gazidis' love for football:
"I love football. Football is always changing. There is not just one game system, the most important thing is the attitude. Modern football is very much about one-on-one and transitions. It's a football in which speed and strength, in addition to technique, are very important."
On the future of the team:
"First, we are back to the Champions League competition, which is an important step for us. This path is difficult, we are only at the beginning."
On coach Pioli:
"For me Stefano is a great example. He lived through a period of great pressure, but he has always thought about the good of the club. I was surprised by his passion and trust in the group as well as his closeness to all of the players."
On Milan's women team:
"Our girls have had a fantastic season, they must continue like this. They too will be in the Champions League next year. I have no words for this team, they are all fantastic."
On Valentina Giacinti:
"She is a force of nature and always gives 120%. She is an important example, not only for women's football, but also for men."
On the fans:
"I still think about what they have done away from Casa Milan. I would like to thank them for their support that was essential for the team. My great hope is that, in the future, I can be considered as a Milan fan like them. Forza Milan."
