In an exclusive interview granted to La Gazzetta dello Sport, former AC Milan defender Fulvio Collovati, who made the switch to cross-city rivals Inter, has spoken about the transfer of Hakan Calhanoglu to the Nerazzurri, explaining the difference between the two operations. Here are his words:
"When I moved from Milan to Inter I didn't do it for money, but out of necessity: when we relegated for the second time, in 82 , Bearzot told me that I would have risked losing the national team, because the blue commitments overlapped those in B. Fiorentina offered me more, I preferred to earn less by going to Inter. Calhanoglu did the opposite, I think...I don't understand the choice, since there is a million difference between the two offers".
