AC Milan will not have Hakan Calhanoglu as part of the squad heading into next season as the player is about to complete a move to city bitter rivals Inter.
Now, the managers of the Rossoneri must find good options to replace the departure of the Turkish playmaker in the team.
Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio took stock of the situation at Casa Milan and said the following:
"The Rossoneri are working to have Brahim Diaz return on loan with a buy option. He will not be Hakan Calhanoglu's replacement. Now they will evaluate the redundancies of other big clubs: Chelsea's Ziyech, who today maybe asks for the money and in 20 days gives you the ok to loan and who maybe in a month would pay half of his salary. There is also Rafinha of PSG... Players who are not able to play regular football at their clubs and who can arrive to Milan in favourable terms."
The reliable journalist also spoke about the search for a backup fullback:
"As for Diogo Dalot, he is the first option. But the second choice is Alvaro Odriozola of Real Madrid."
