AC Milan's former director Massimiliano Mirabelli, who was in charge of leading the Rossoneri project under the ownership of Yonghong Li, spoke to Tuttosport about the transfer market and the latest events at Casa Milan:
"The Nerazzurri know Calhanoglu very well, when I worked there, they were already following him. I'm sorry that Milan lose a great player and that above all they go away to zero. I'm happy for Inter, however, who bring home a really important player, as well as a golden boy."
On Milan's strategy in the transfer market window:
"Milan will regret it, the real problem is the strategy adopted by the club. When I was there, I had to solve many problems related to the renewal of contracts, including that of Donnarumma. The Rossoneri, with Gigio and Calhanoglu gone as gree agents, lose 150 million in assets . But, if everyone is happy, then that's fine..."
On contract renewals:
"I don't remember such important renewals in June, that is business to be closed well before. The more time passes, the more problems increase. The next situation will be related to Kessié, I think."
