After the departures of Hakan Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma, AC Milan does not intend to lose a pillar of the team again. That is why Paolo Maldini wants to ensure that 'Il Presidente' Kessié remains by extending his contract which expires next year.
According to the latest information provided by Il Corriere dello Sport, Kessie is indeed Milan's priority right now. The Rossoneri's offer is 3.5 million euros per season.
However, it seems that this offer does not sit well with the player's representatives. Their counter-offer is 6 million euros per season.
The newspaper explains that Milan will be able to raise their offer thanks to the money saved from Calhanoglu and Donnarumma's salaries. Negotiations will continue between the parties, without any tension.
