As reported by Goal.com, Portuguese club Benfica have reportedly shown great interest in midfielder Orkun Kokcu out of Dutch club Feyenoord. The 20-year-old Turk just wrapped up play in the Euro 2020 competition, so he can now focus on his fate for next season. The player is expected to make a move away from his club in the Netherlands for an opportunity to play for a bigger organization. The young Turkish talent has attracted the likes of Milan and Roma in Italy, but now Benfica have their sights on the player.
Benfica expect some midfield departures this season, so the club will look to add depth and talent with Kokcu. The club is reportedly leading the charge for the player according to sources. Kokcu played just 10 minutes this summer in the Euros, but had a promising season in his 31 appearances with Feyenoord.
Milan have had their eyes on the player for some time, but could be behind the race as of now. Management at Casa Milan has begun identifying other profiles for the midfield, but still have an interest in the player. Maldini and Massara will continue to keep tabs on the Feyenoord player this summer.
