AC Milan and Inter's project for the construction of a new stadium is still not progressing fast. Giuseppe Sala, who is the mayor of the city of Milan spoke about the matter in a brief interview given to the microphones of Sky Sport:
"The San Siro is a source of memories and is the symbol for many victories. However, I do understand Milan and Inter's needs if the conditions are right. But, the problem is not the stadium itself, it's rather the real estate developments around the neighborhood. In modern football, having their own stadiums can really help the clubs."
"Scudetto winners? I experienced it in the control room at the Prefecture. It wasn't the same feeling (laughs). For the first time during my tenure as mayor of Milan, the two Milanese clubs are in the Champions League. There are satisfactions."
