Following the example of her former teammate Caroline Rask, English striker Natasha Dowie sent a heartwarming goodbye message to AC Milan and fans on social media.
On her Instagram profile, the player posted:
"We created history this year @acmilan qualifying for the Champions league and I am proud to have been a small part of that.
This season has been the most challenging of my career yet with lots of lessons learnt.
I leave this beautiful country feeling blessed to have played for such an historic club with one of the most incredible fan bases I have ever felt. One of the saddest things for myself is not having been able to play in front of the AC Milan fans more. But thank you for the support you have given me from day one till the end.
To the teammates and staff who made this experience enjoyable and who were there for me through the good times and bad, you know who you are.
Thank you”
Dowie arrived at Milan in August, 2020 and leave the club after 28 appearances, having scored 14 goals, becoming the most prolific foreigner to play for Milan, and 6 assists
