In an exclusive interview granted to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hélder Cristóvão, former head coach of Luka Jovic at Benfica B, has commented on rumors sending the Real Madrid frontman to AC Milan ahead of the next summer transfer window. Here is what he said:
“For the Rossoneri it would be a huge signing, I hope so. Luka is now another player. At Eintracht he learned the culture of work. He has always had personality. The talent was there, but the sacrifice... He was predestined, but I had to fight a lot with him, because I just wanted to do everything myself. In training, I worked with Rúben Dias and he was always wanting to go after him. I asked him why and he told me that he could only improve by playing against the top players. At Milan he could become great for real. Italian football is tough, physical, but after playing well in the Bundesliga you can go anywhere.“.
