Former AC Milan center-back Thiago Silva has spoken during the press conference earlier today about the Rossoneri's legendary defender Paolo Maldini, as the Brazilian veteran is hoping to follow in his footsteps. Here are his statements:
"I hope to do like [Maldini] and to play up to 40-41 years. These are my plans and I have prepared myself to succeed. At 36 I continue to play at high levels and all this fills me with pride. From now on I will have to face every season and every tournament very carefully, because my body is no longer what it was 2-3 years ago."
On teaching Militao what he has learned at Milan:
"Militao trusts in his speed a lot. He is a very fast player and, at times, he stays a little high up because he knows that he will recover. That is something that I learned when I arrived at AC Milan. That is what I try to teach him."
