In an exlclusive interview granted to RTBF, Gent's director of football Michel Louwagie has broken the silence over the future of club's frontman Roman Yaremchuk, who has been linked with a move to AC Milan and other clubs, after delivering solid performances with Ukraine during the European Championship.
"I never speak of financial amounts... But indeed, we expect to receive a large amount for Yaremchuk. Does Milan value him at 15 million euros? We hope for a lot more... Even if the market remains impacted by the Covid ... Everything will depend on the country and the market…We have already had an agreement for several months with Roman to let him go in case of [receiving] a good offer. After the Euros, we will therefore work together for his transfer. We have already had offers in winter, and they are now necessarily multiplying. But nothing has come out in the press yet… and that's fine (smiles, ed). If, for example, Ajax were to make him an offer, I don't think he would be interested. Roman's desire is to go to a high level championship. He also retains the sporting project: he will not choose just on the financial offer." clarified Louwagie.
