Matteo Osti, Milan's atheltic trainer, spoke to Milan TV regarding the first training of the preseason. The players endured their first training since May, and the trainer seemed to be impressed with the lad's offseason work. Here are his words:

“It has been a very long and demanding season. We will need a lot, we have collected an important amount of data and it will help us with the players we will see again this year to help us plan our work and to better prepare the many important matches that await us. We have a 360 degree wealth of information, on a health, physical and performance level. We will have to treasure it,”.

The great work of last season:

"I would also put the previous year in it, it was almost a double year without interruption. We preferred this year to anticipate a moment to take advantage of this fundamental period, we hope to be able to benefit from it during the season. This year is a return to origins to do the work that last year we could not do,".

Do the players have homework?

“Homework is given, but not GPS. The GPS is found in Milanello. The tasks have been given, we expect them to have done them. Libra and GPS are waiting for you shortly, we will address this topic shortly. But I've already seen them pretty drawn,”.

His relationship with Mr. Pioli:

“We know each other by heart, it's a twenty-year relationship. There is a total understanding, built over time. We are collaborators and we must read the coach's needs. This in-depth knowledge greatly helps my and our work,”.

How long does your job last?

"If you want a minimum quantification of two hours every day before training, then we are almost always on site and a couple of hours after the end of training we are still here analyzing data and discussing both numerical and impressions of the coach, which are the most important. These two analyses need to be crossed. In the pre-workout we collect data from the infirmary and the doctor, they give us the latest information to then face the day in the best possible way,".

On the Milanello structures:

“There have been improvements, the usability of the structure has been further improved. If before it was the top now I don't even know what adjective to use, Milanello is a wonderful place to work,”.
