AC Milan are reportedly closing in on the signing of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud during the current summer transfer window, as the Rossoneri are looking to back club head coach Stefano Pioli with an additional offensive weapon to bolster the frontline.
According to the latest information provided by Milannews.it director Antonio Vitiello, the two clubs have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of the France international to Milan, as the latter club is set to pay 1 million euros as a transfer price tag plus one another million as bonuses.
However, the 34-year-old veteran frontman will sign a two-year contract with the Milanese club; an agreement that would see him earn up to €3.5M (+add ons) per season. Now, only medical examinations and signatures are missing for this deal to be sealed, as reported by the same source.
