AC Milan found an agreement with Chelsea by paying a small compensation fee to convince them of releasing Olivier Giroud from his recent contract extension which was exercised unilaterally by the Blues.
According to what has been revealed by Sky Sport's journalist Manuele Baiocchini, Giroud's arrival does not mean that another striker will not be joining the Rossoneri side. Here are his words:
"Giroud should arrive to Milan on Monday for the medical visits. The Rossoneri will pay Chelsea one million euros plus a million bonuses for reaching rather difficult goals. Regardless of the arrival of Giroud, Milan also need a forward with perspective. We are talking about Kaio Jorge, a Brazilian talent, who would arrive in January. There is also Lorenzo Colombo who is with the team currently."
"In short, it won't be only Giroud", delcared the journalist, "The strategy is to get a good experienced attacker and also a younger one."
