After signing Fikayo Tomori permanently from Chelsea, it is now Giroud's turn to arrive from the London-based club. But, it appears that Milan will not stop there as they are targeting another Chelsea-owned player: Tiémoué Bakayoko who is a familiar face to Milanello and Serie A.
According to what has been revealed by Italian outlet SportMediaset, the axis between Milan and Chelsea continues to be productive: during the transfer talks of Olivier Giroud, some foundations for signing Bakayoko have been laid.
For his part, Bakayoko wants to return to the Rossoneri. Napoli is also interested. However, the French defensive midfielder has his priority set already, he wants to wear the red and black stripes in the new season.
Chelsea could choose to exercise their option to extend Bakayoko's contract unilaterally by 1 year. In that case, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara could attempt to secure the player's services on loan.
