Diogo Dalot's father, Jacinto Texeira, spoke about how his son's growth progressed in the last few seasons. Here are his words to the media:
"Diogo is still at the beginning of his career in football, but in these two years in Manchester, and in the last year in AC Milan he has already had many experiences and learned a lot. All this has led to his surprise call to represent the Portuguese national team at the Euros and on his debut against France. Diogo took the humility, commitment and hard work that is typical of our inhabitants. The power of work is in his blood, then he also has a lot of Braga, where he was born, and of Vieira do Minho, his mother's city."
